In four events, we hosted over 1,100 building professional throughout various locations in northern New Jersey and southern New York. The whirlwind tour concluded with a huge event at our newest, drive-through lumberyard in Succasunna, NJ where over 340 customers enjoyed the night.

Since 1970, Elmwood Supply has inventoried a large selection of drywall, steel studs, ceiling tiles and grid. In 2003, Kuiken Brothers acquired the Garfield, NJ location. “We are experiencing significant growth in the commercial building market and expect the trend to continue,” said Douglas Kuiken. When we recently increased our commercial building material inventory at our newest location in Succasunna, NJ, it was difficult to maintain two new brand identities, even though both locations were working together logistically/ operationally. It was a natural progression to grow on the Kuiken Brothers brand name and change Elmwood Supply to Kuiken Brothers as we continue to provide the same quality products and superior customer service our commercial contractors demand. While Hurricane Sandy has left many communities in our area devastated, some have already begun to rebuild. We have received many inquiries from our loyal customers as to how far we will travel to make a delivery and the answer is that you tell us where you are building and we’ll get you the material. For the past few decades we have been shipping material to projects along the Jersey Shore, and in all five boroughs of New York City. Now, with 9 locations and a fleet of over 80 vehicles, our ability to serve you in territories further than we may have previously considered has become even easier than before.

Despite Hurricane Sandy, nearly 1,000 building professionals descended on Kuiken Brothers Product Expo 2012 in Mahwah, NJ. Live building clinics, AIA accredited seminars, free food and hundreds of products on display. It was an excellent opportunity for many of our customers to catch up on the latest products available today.
