Classical Moulding Comparison

Classical Moulding Comparison
Almost all mouldings are replicated from unique/ original and custom designs from products craftsmen created more than 200+ years ago. Over time, the designs have become subtly distorted as they were replicated and/or reproduced. Note the smaller profile on the left. It has lost its original crispness. The edges are rounded off, the bead is no longer perfectly round and cuts are not as deep. This results in softer shadow lines and a less dramatic look. In comparison, Kuiken Brothers’ Classical Moulding (profile on the right) was designed and milled from poplar, to the exact specifications of our original CAD drawing. Deep cuts and crisp edges result in much darker, yet defined shadow lines, ensuring the moulding really jumps off the wall.
