For this project, Grove Homes selected moulding profiles from Kuiken Brothers’ Poplar Classical Moulding – Greek Revival Collection, bringing proportion, symmetry, and refined shadow lines into every space. The result is a home that feels both grand and deeply intentional, honoring architectural traditions that have defined great American homes for generations.

Why Greek Revival Still Matters
Greek Revival architecture is rooted in clarity, balance, and restraint. Characterized by strong profiles, deliberate transitions, and crisp details, it relies heavily on millwork to communicate its story. In this Alpine, UT residence, the Classical Moulding profiles do more than trim walls—they frame rooms, establish hierarchy, and create visual rhythm throughout the home.
Poplar, long regarded as the gold standard for paint-grade millwork, was specified for its stability, smooth finish, and ability to hold sharp, historically accurate moulding profiles. These qualities are essential when executing a style where subtlety and precision make all the difference.

About Grove Homes: A Builder Set Apart
In a market often driven by trends and speed, Grove Homes has distinguished itself by going in a different direction—one rooted in tradition, craftsmanship, and intention.
Founded on principles of integrity, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail, Grove Homes approaches each project as a deeply personal collaboration. Their team works closely with homeowners from initial concept through final walk-through, ensuring that every design decision aligns with the client’s vision, lifestyle, and long-term goals.
What truly sets Grove Homes apart in the greater Salt Lake City area is their commitment to classical and traditional architecture. Rather than relying on surface-level aesthetics, they focus on proportion, material authenticity, and architectural correctness—elements that give their homes a sense of permanence and quiet confidence. This dedication to timeless design is why Grove Homes has become a sought-after builder for clients who value craftsmanship over convention.

Kuiken Brothers’ profiles are categorized by architectural style (Early American, Georgian, Federal, Greek Revival, Colonial Revival, Traditional Revival, and Modern Craftsman) to show which crown, casing and base mouldings go together. In the past, coordinating design elements was difficult and time-consuming and many of these profiles were available only through custom production runs. Kuiken Brothers offers free moulding samples so potential buyers can match them to existing mouldings or see how they will actually look before installation. CAD files are offered on-line for architects and designers to incorporate detail to their blueprints.
