Kuiken Brothers preferred door supplier REEB has provided us with a clear and concise way to determine the handing of your door when ordering new, or replacing a door. This method can be used for both interior and exterior door hand swings.

If you place your back up against the hinge side of the door and swing your left hand out in the direction of the door, that would be considered a left hand swinging door. If you place your back against the hinge side of the door and swing your right hand out in the direction of the door, that would be considered a right hand swinging door.
