The primary role of the Kitchen Cabinetry Designer is to assist customers in the design, selection and purchasing of cabinetry, counter tops and hardware. All responsibilities must be performed with an emphasis on excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

  • Answer questions and offer guidance regarding products and the proper selection of materials
  • Collaborate with customers and design the project to their satisfaction.
  • Estimate and quote within the set pricing structures based on blueprint and materials selected.
  • Ensure orders are typed out and processed correctly, with accurate prices utilizing the manufacturer order confirmations as a cross-reference.
  • Place orders using only approved vendors and ensure that orders are delivered and paid for in a timely manner.
  • Keep current on the newest trends within cabinet and surface designs and products.

 Technical Competencies:

  • Basic kitchen, bath, or interior design skills
  • Proficient working with 20/20 design program
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong math skills

Qualifications: (Education and years of experience)

  • Ability to read, write and speak in English
  • High School or GED required
  • Certification in interior or kitchen design preferred
  • Two to four years of experience in kitchen sales and design
  • Knowledge of industry products
