Morris Tomorrow presents the 2007 McFlowertown Award to Kuiken Brothers Company for commercial-industrial beautification efforts
ROXBURY TOWNSHIP - May 7, 2007 - Morris Tomorrow recently bestowed its 2007 McFlowertown Award for Industrial/Commercial Property upon the Kuiken Brothers Company to acknowledge the significance of the firm's newly-completed KB Concepts Showroom in Succasunna.
Morris Tomorrow created the McFlowertown Award program to encourage beautification projects in local communities. The award recognizes those who go all-out to improve their surroundings through landscaping, architectural changes, new streetscapes and other visible upgrades.
The KB Concepts Showroom provides an attractive atmosphere for contractors, architects and consumers to view windows, kitchens, doors and trim, and selections of other exterior and interior finishing materials.
The Roxbury Economic Development committee nominated Kuiken Brothers and the KB Concepts Showroom for the McFlowertown award after acknowledging the firm with the presentation of a beautification award for the same project earlier this year.
Bette M. Simmons, Chair of the Morris Tomorrow Board of Trustees presented the award. Established in 1984, Morris Tomorrow comprises government, business and community leaders who persistently put together private- and public-sector coalitions in order to address issues critical to the future of Morris County.
Douglas Kuiken, Kuiken Brothers Company President, in accepting the award on behalf of the firm said, "We are very proud of our KB Concepts Showroom and grateful that it has been so well received."
Established in 1912, Kuiken Brothers Company has grown to become a leading supplier of quality building materials and related services with a focus on serving the needs of professional contractors in the region. With a staff comprising more than 290 people, the company operates from seven locations in New Jersey - Fair Lawn, Emerson, Garfield, Midland Park, Ogdensburg, Wantage, and Roxbury Township - and one in Warwick, New York.
