Marvin Windows and Doors Ranks Highest In Satisfying Architects According To J.D. Power and Associates Study
An inaugural study conducted by J.D. Power and Associates and McGraw-Hill Construction ranks Marvin Windows and Doors highest among residential window and patio door manufacturers in satisfying architects.
The 2006 Residential Window and Patio Door Architect Satisfaction Study was designed to provide comprehensive information to assist window and patio door manufacturers in their efforts to improve customer satisfaction. Overall architect satisfaction was based on performance in six factors. They are (in order of importance): features and design; performance; sales and marketing support; architectural design support; warranty; and price.
Marvin received the highest ratings in four of the most heavily weighted satisfaction categories: features and design; performance; sales and marketing; and architectural design support.

Lock-Deck is one of those specialty products we sometimes get a call for.
Lock Deck is a laminated decking product used mostly for ceilings and roofs, similar to how you would use a spruce roofer, but it looks a lot nicer. They make the product in many different species, but most commonly it comes in Doug Fir or Ponderosa Pine either in a clear face (Supreme grade) or a knotty face (Decorative grade). Sizes go from 2x6 all the way up to 5x8. Below are examples of what the laminated products looks like:
 From the website you can also get all the design values for Lock Deck if you need them. You can also get some information about what insulation characteristics the product has. Depending on the thickness, Lock Deck offers fairly good insulation all by itself but rigid insulation can be installed directly over the deck to improve performance. In addition, Lock Deck also offers factory finishing with 20 different color options to choose from. This can save contractors a lot of time on the painting process as much of this material is used on large vaulted ceilings in buildings like churches and pool houses, etc, where the ceiling can be quite difficult to get to.
